SOCIAL BALLROOM
- STUDENTS CAN GET STARTED AT ANY STAGE THROUGH OUT TERM -
Get ready to have some fun learning the most popular Ballroom dance styles – Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot and Jive.
Classes focus on learning two dances a week on a rotation and you can begin at any stage.
No experience or partner is needed to get started.
The focus of these classes is learning new steps and moves in a fun and social environment
incorporating some lead and follow and a light focus on technique.
CLASS TIMES:
BEGINNER Thursday 7.00pm - 8.00pm
INTERMEDIATE Thursday 8.00pm - 9.00pm
ADVANCED Wednesday 6.30pm – 7.30pm
WHAT TO WEAR: comfy clothes/shoes (ballroom, chorus or jazz shoes recommended if you have them)
WHAT TO BRING: water bottle

TANGO
Think passion, obsession, addiction, sharp flicks and sudden movements. Creep around the floor with this fiery and dramatic dance.
WALTZ
1, 2, 3… 1, 2, 3… Step back into a time of elegance and grace.
This historic and almost cloud like dance allows you and your partner to float around the floor with a circular movement.
FOXTROT
Heard of Fred Astair ? Ginger Rogers ? Claimed to have originated in 1913 by Harry Fox,
this conversational dance allows you to take a stroll around the dance floor.
JIVE
Jive, rock & roll, triple swing, single swing… Take a deep breath and don’t stop movin’ those feet.
